Calidad de vida, depresión y satisfacción con la vida en personas de edad atendidos en un establecimiento de salud, Lima

Objetivos: Analizar la relación y el poder predictivo de la calidad de vida y la depresión sobre la satisfacción con la vida en adultos mayores atendidos en un establecimiento de salud del primer nivel de atención en Lima. Materiales y métodos: Se realizó un estudio de enfoque cuantitativo, observacional, con diseño no experimental, de corte transversal y alcance correlacional–explicativo. La población estuvo conformada por 275 adultos mayores de 60 años o más, usuarios continuadores del establecimiento de salud. La calidad de vida se evaluó mediante el WHOQOL-OLD, la depresión con el PHQ-9 y la satisfacción con la vida con la SWLS. Se aplicó análisis descriptivo y regresión lineal múltiple utilizando IBM SPSS, considerando un nivel de significancia de p<0,05. Resultados: El 61,8% presentó calidad de vida media, el 48,4% depresión moderada y el 57,5% satisfacción con la vida en nivel medio. El modelo de regresión no fue estadísticamente significativo (F=0,417; p=0,659), explicando el 0,3% de la varianza (R²=0,003). Ni la calidad de vida (β=0,009; p=0,668) ni la depresión (β=0,062; p=0,431) mostraron efecto predictor significativo sobre la satisfacción con la vida. Conclusiones: La calidad de vida y la depresión no evidenciaron capacidad predictiva significativa sobre la satisfacción con la vida en la población estudiada, lo que sugiere la influencia de otros factores psicosociales y contextuales en el bienestar subjetivo del adulto mayor.
